Mentoring

Say hi to moi -a uni mentor. ok ok ...Laugh all you want. Yep thats right, im a uni mentor. My stinky Prof had a good laugh when he knew. i have 5 mentees on my list. 5 x 18yo babies!!!!! 5 exclaimations to emphasize the fact that i've got 5 babies!!!!!
I wondered how i ended up doing this - probably was dead drunk in a semi-conscious state when i clicked the submit button OR getting over a bad hair day OR sniffed too much ethanol in the lab that rendered a brain malfunction. Likely coz i thought it'll look pretty on my resume so i volunteered. It's been the second week and so far i've met 3 of 5. It felt somewhat like a blind date...hahhaa... coz i told them to look for the gal wearing a flower brooch on the oak lawn. And they had to carry a rose each so that i could recognise them in turn - im just kidding alrites!! but i did wear a brooch for them to recog me. I couldnt think of a better way for them to ID me in the crowd right?! Of the 3, 2 are doing well. Hooray! 1 is a little babyish (dependent) but a good baby - so its fine :) The 2 i havent met - both have replied their absence via phone or email so i know they are alive. I've arranged to meet them in the 4th week again. Hopefully all can make it this time round and no one gives me huge problems to solve. It has actually not been as bad as i thought it would be. Hooray!
