Lottery of Latitudes

I was not intending to blog for a while... BUT then out pops Amber, my 2nd niece!! 2.85kg. Welcome to the world my dear, cant guarantee that you'll like it much, cant guarantee that all will be well but i guarantee it'll be a journey of discovery. I just pray you'll feel much loved because you will be much loved. To note: if you are a brat, you'll still get spanked!

Anyway this is an interesting way to describe the provery situation in this world. It is but a lottery of latitudes. If a disadvantaged child was born in Australia, he'll receive aid. If a disadvantaged child was born in Somalia, he'll simply die. Same child, 2 different countries, 2 different outcomes. Lottery of latitudes. I win, you lose. http://www.makepovertyhistory.com.au/home.html
yah yah .....provide aid but is it sincere EFFICIENT aid or just aid thrown in your face kinda cocky aid? It is just ridiculous... all these overweight plump people joining reality shows to be the biggest loser and in another part of the world - people are dying coz of malnutrition. People dying coz of OVERnutrition and people dying coz of MALnutrition. i think if they just switched homes for a year....hmmm...they might all become optimally sized.

i bought yet another book yesterday night. Staying up late to do my draft case study court report must have exhausted me. I fell asleep reading the new book - with my glasses on, lights on, book resting gently on my chest, pages held open with one hand. zzzZ
