who will be my persocon?

i was watching this japanese anime that depicted how i feel about the world im in. People in the anime could purchase a robotic human known as a Persocon (cant recall the exact spelling) and program them exactly how they want them to be. Persocons can be programmed to do web searches, as a GPRS, as a phone, as a maid etc. Many had Persocons to basically - give them companionship. In this anime, i think many people wanted Persocons as a stand-in for a life partner. A Persocon can never replace the role of a life partner but it can be a sub til one is found. If the Persocon was actual reality, as in actually available for sale - i truly believe many singles and elderly folks would buy them.

I did a good deed yesterday. I was a Persocon for a lady. All she needed was companionship to convert the tears, pain and hurt to laughter, love and creative energy. Even though it took time, money and effort. It was worth it - from teary eyed to laughter! Everyone needs a Persocon every now and then. So do I. Sometimes just to give you the encouragement you need as you work through the night, just to say, "Ange, fighto!" Then maybe i wont retreat under my duvet but be driven on. To catch you when you fall, to push you when things start to lull. A Persocon. Sometimes to just fill the silence. Sometimes to make me smile.
