Im back in Oz land
im so glad to be back in Perth. I've really been picking on this small city so much when i first arrived that i was blinded by what it has humbly offered me. Just yesterday, my hsemate exclaimed, "What! Your friend is here in Perth?? Didnt you tell her there is nothing here?? Why did she come here for a holiday?" I used to see things that way through a pair of glassy medium-sized city dweller's lens. It is like how people say, when you travel alone, you tend to learn more about yourself. I think i've learnt a lot about myself. i've changed my perspective on many things. So many things. Perth is a beautiful city - it truely is. i feel like ive really come back. Like a mighty big welcome hug to a grouchy bear. canada must have been rough eh? you'll probably be thinking. Yes. It was rough. I fell and came back with a couple of grazes as well.
Let me start with day 1 of the trip and i'll recount it bit by bit:
Quantas flight from perth to tokyo.
After all i've heard, i thot it - surprisingly pleasant. I had a decent amount of sleep on board. Though the air-steward attending to my section of the cabin was elderly, he was attentive to my needs. When i roused from my mid-flight sleep, he walked back to wave an apple at me as i rubbed my eyes and gave him a smile. He gave me a gentle tap on my leg when it was time for breaky. He made sure i had enough water so i didnt even need to ask for any. thank you. bumpy landing. i needed a bath. My hair was screaming out. So it was time to figure my way around narita airport. Customer service is excellent with the Japs. 100%. At a mini shop, i was wondering if i had to purchase my own toiletries for a bath as ive checked in my toiletries bag. The salesgirl was kind enough to make several calls to enquire before i proceeded to buy any. Yes - toiletries and towels are all provided for. Great! Arriving at the shower rooms: 500Yen for 30mins.
OMG! 30mins to shower, change and powder up. I was amazed at myself - clocked 27mins. The toilets were swanky- smart toilets! You can control the warmth and flow of the water cleaning your bum and 'bidget' area. Even a flushing sound button for subtle toilet visits. I then proceeded to entertain myself, shopping, browsing every nook and cranny, eating, checking mail, watching tv and i clearly forgot about the time difference between Japan and Perth!!! I checked in 1hr before departure instead of 2hrs. "Sorry madame, there is no more aisle seats." I got onboard NW airlines between another Aussie going to canada to visit his girlfriend and an ex-brazilian lady (emigrated) visiting her daughter working for the UN in NYC. This aussie bloke had a really strong accent and it seemed there was a clash of the languages btw him and the air stewardess. Aussie Vs American. Flight was most uncomfortable and too packed. Air-steward serving my cabin section was gruff with a 'take it or leave it attitude.' Im sure he's a decent guy on the street (from the way he behaves) - but he shouldnt be in customer service alright. I dont think ive even remembered seeing him smile. Horrible flight with a smooth landing. Detriot airport. Starbucks - oooohh i havent seen this for sometime. Thank goodness they accept cc, i refuse to pay the ridiculous service charge for currency exchange. My mobile starts working again. Yeahs! tri-band ok.
Onboard NW again for the last leg to Toronto,Ontario, Canada. Sat with 2 Japanese middle-aged ladies on a holiday to visit Niagara falls and trying out their English on me. They are so cute...i cant help laughing talking to them :D Touchdown and almost immediately whisked away onboard the shuttle bus to my accom. A gruff man selling the shuttle tix. Zzz...tomorrow was a long train ride to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Mobile cease to function. Why? I've changed bands! Another gruff man selling train tix. Said i wont make it for this train, i'll have to take the next one. Asked for luggage lockers - none available. Place at luggage counter for a fee. Rude luggage women. Tired. Cant wait to sleep onboard. To note: when Dan says it takes 10mins to walk to the station, he actually means 30mins. A man sits beside me on the train. He brings his own mega-lunch. Terrible service. Terrible coffee onboard. View- dried shrubs. Fat lady sitting in front of me. Girl fast asleep behind me. A kid's voice echo through the carriage 2 seats down. This is going to be a long ride.

enough recounting of trip for now: did a quiz on someone's blog whilst waking up in the middle of the night again. ive not been sleeping well at all. Migraine throbbing.
Physical Touch
with a secondary love language being
Quality Time.
Take the quiz
There we go! I never knew that - i probably do know that, it is just that i never acknowledged it. Who wants to be known as a touchy-feely person eh? Everyone is suppose to just act nonchalant, unnerving, pooh-poohing emotional tags and acting like a pillar of strength. F it!
I like for you to touch me when you walk by,
When you hold me in your arms,
With your breath by my ear,
An unexpected kiss.
Puts a sparkle in my eyes...
Prob quality time becomes number 2 when i get overwhelmed with so much to do - where i would want to be does not coincide with where i am. I would prefer to be doing this but then im actually doing that. Imbalanced priorities? Priorities come first. Have i got the order wrong? Is this all but an excuse? I stand still as time flashes by. Perhaps when i finally do move my limbs, it wont be too late. Perhaps perhaps.

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.Take the quiz
