time management
yipee!!! it is spring in my room, i bought a pot of flowers and placed it at the window ledge. Decided against getting cut flowers, they die after 2 weeks. Pot of flowers will last forever yah? At least it'll make next week look a wee bit more sunny in my room - forecast be rainy the entire next week. Hmm...i should get a pot of flowers for the office too. i hate winter.
Big decision this month - stay or to not stay on in Perth. I wish there was something to make my decision easier. A beam of light be good. Zoink!! And a loud voice goes " here is where your future lies!" I feel like the spotlight is running low on batt ... flickering on and off, on and off. Make up your bloody mind!! Arghhh...turmoil turmoil. I wish there was something to ease the unrest. Something to just settle it. Once and for all. Be all end all.
Ok ... today's sermon made me recall last week's sermon. Which was on time management. We spend our time on things that are unimportant and the things we treasure most we dont spend time on. Analogy time: during the sept 11 attacks, the people in the tower - who came to their mind first when they knew they were going to perish. Was it their bank managers, stock brokers or real estate agents?? No. They called the people they hold dearest to their hearts. Be it their spouse, their children or their parents. Are we spending enough time with the people we love or are we using work/busyness as an excuse to push them away? Dont wait until the critical moment before doing what is most important to you. We have the liberty now to change the way we do things. Show the people you love that you treasure them by giving time to them. Spend time with them. You can say, " You do not understand!! i work hard to earn lots of money so that i can provide them with anything they ever need or want!" Well, i dont think they want to hug a car. I dont think they want to kiss a luxury boat. I dont think they want to stay in a big empty mansion. You know what they want? they just want you. Plain old you. Simply you. Yes ..thats right...Y-O-U. I like Robbie Williams. See right he knows when enough is enough. He cant be bothered to break into the US market - he's happy with the market in Europe. The decision gives himself more time to breathe and a place to hang as a regular dude (seems he's not that hot in the states and he can walk ard as he please in some areas). He knows when enough is enough. Know when your enough is enough and spend more time with things you treasure most. For where yee heart is, tis where your treasure shalt be. Life is precious, dont waste time on things that dont matter. Partition your time. Dont let work/busyness (moderately important) push the people you love (important) away from you.
